Dec. 5, 2022 The 2022 Red Gold Run to Crush Hunger fund-raising event set a record of $75,987.70 to benefit families needing the services of two area food banks. The run held October 22nd in Elwood, IN was part of Red Gold’s ‘Crush Hunger Saturday’ benefiting the Second Harvest Food Bank and the Morrisett Center Food Pantry. A check presentation to the food banks was held on December 2nd.

Since the inception of the annual Run to Crush Hunger race event in 2012, Red Gold, a family-owned producer of bestselling tomato products sold across the United States, has partnered with 7,800 participants to raise nearly $500,000 in the effort to fight hunger, providing more than 1.9 million meals to local Hoosier communities.
