November 19, 2024 The 13th Annual Run to Crush Hunger held on October 19th, 2024 was a record-breaking event. Proceeds from the event were presented to Second Harvest Food Bank and the Morrisett Center Food Pantry on Monday, November 18th.

Red Gold's Annual Crush Hunger Saturday Reaches New Donation Milestone. The 12th Annual Run to Crush Hunger was a record-breaking event raising $103,667.24. The event was held on October 21st, and the race proceeds were presented to Second Harvest Food Bank and the Morrisett Center Food Pantry on Wednesday, November 15th. With the help of the Virtual Race option, the 10K, 5K and one-mile family walk, the event drew a crowd of 727 participants from 97 different cities and twenty-two states, in addition to hundreds of spectators and festival goers who came with the goals to sample delicious food and cheer on the participants.

Dec. 5, 2022 The 2022 Red Gold Run to Crush Hunger fund-raising event set a record of $75,987.70 to benefit families needing the services of two area food banks. The run held October 22nd in Elwood, IN was part of Red Gold’s ‘Crush Hunger Saturday’ benefiting the Second Harvest Food Bank and the Morrisett Center Food Pantry. A check presentation to the food banks was held on December 2nd.
