Owasso, Oklahoma (December 1, 2020) – “The best tasting ketchup in America is American-Owned, Grown & Made,” says Lt Col Dan Rooney, who founded the Folds of Honor foundation in 2007. Lt Col Rooney has committed his life, through the Folds of Honor, to provide scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members. Since that time, the foundation has provided over 28,000 scholarships, approximately 41 percent to minority students, and has already awarded 3,500 scholarships this academic year. Today, Red Gold helped to create a few more scholarships with a $100,000 donation.

“We are simply honored to have Red Gold as an amazing partner, who joined our cause less than ten months ago, and has been making a tremendous impact in raising the awareness of our mission with its new iconic Red Gold Folds of Honor ketchup,” says Rooney.  Red Gold ketchup has already gained national distribution, including but not limited to, Costco, Wal-Mart, Kroger, Meijer, Schuck’s, Albertsons, Winn-Dixie, HEB, Jewel, Roundy’s, Spartan Nash, Supervalu, AWG, and many more retailers and restaurants across our great nation, including all US military bases.

“Red Gold began back in 1942 supporting US military troops during WWII, so it is only fitting that this partnership allows everyone the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to honor the sacrifice and educate the legacy of fallen heroes, by supporting Red Gold fresh canned tomatoes and ketchup,” says Rooney.

“We are humbled, excited and grateful for Red Gold’s support and selecting us as a partner,” said Ben Leslie, Folds of Honor Executive Vice President. “We are proud to partner with a company focused on supporting American families and communities and are honored to help recognize the unimaginable sacrifices our military families have made.”

“A portion of proceeds from every bottle of Red Gold ketchup goes directly to the Folds of Honor foundation, making it the best choice to select an All-American brand,” Leslie added. “Red Gold is truly the gold standard in everything tomatoes and we look forward to a growing and lasting partnership.”

“We can see the impact that Folds of Honor has had on so many, and that has made this truly a blessing for our company and our employees to be a part of,” says Tim Ingle, Senior Vice President of Red Gold, and active wingman and board member for Indiana’s Folds of Honor chapter.
