October 1, 2019

MADE IN AMERICA 2019 will come alive at the Indiana Convention Center on October 3rd-6th, 2019.  This is an American-made celebration and the start of a Made in the USA Movement.  There will be hundreds of manufacturers from across the country showcasing high-quality U.S. made machines and products, including Red Gold tomatoes.

There will also be high-level speeches and panel discussions featuring manufacturing professionals.  This trade show event will have an audience of celebrities, consumers, businesses, media, and government.  We will all come together to empower American-made.

Entrepreneur Don Buckner’s patriotic plan began in 1998, when he attempted to find several American-made products online, but was unable to do so.  Frustrated, he took matters into his own hands, purchasing the Domain MadeintheUSA.com.

Don is no stranger to success in business since he has been in the manufacturing industry for over 30 years.  He started out as a mechanic and welder with no formal education.  In 1997, he launched Vac-Tron Equipment, a company that was born in his garage.  In 2000, Vac-Tron was listed on the INC 500 as the 13th fastest growing privately held company, growing 6500% in just 3 years.  In the same year, he was awarded the 2000 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for the State of Florida.  Buckner is also in the Business Hall of Fame and Vac-Tron was Named Industry of the Year and Business of the Year.

From Don’s plan, Mark Androl and Rob Whalen from the Made In America Store were eager to find a true American ketchup and a variety of tomato products that were not just Made in America, but also American-grown and American-owned.  With Red Gold tomatoes in the heartland of the Midwest, it was a natural for them to join this movement and be a part of the inaugural event.

The future is bright at Red Gold, America’s largest privately held producer of fresh canned tomatoes and food products.  Founded in 1942 to provide food for US Soldiers in WWII, Red Gold has grown and thrived by “producing the freshest, best tasting tomato products in the world," says Beau and Colt Reichart, 4th generation ownership.  “This is the first-ever event of its kind to champion American-made products and manufacturing on a national level,” says Mark Androl, founder of Made In America Store.  This event has the goal to showcase the largest collection of U.S. made machines and products ever in one place.  Red Gold finds it very fitting as our great nation once again rises to support American workers, quality American-made products, and American-owned businesses.

While other companies announce several plant closings and lay-offs of hundreds of workers, Red Gold is truly a family company, and loves to continually invest in their people, products and technology,” says Tim Ingle, Senior Vice President.  “We are proud of our heritage and ability to stay focused on its three pillars of success, which includes quality, service, and value.”

Today, Red Gold is booming with product sales and company expansion projects.  “I’m an engineer at heart, and really enjoy designing new equipment installations and making things better.  With over 1,300 employees, we’re investing in their future success for the long-haul," says Brian Reichart, President and CEO.

It’s a refreshing American success story, in a time when some large companies look for a quick buck or to make a quick return in the stock market.  Red Gold is truly an “All-American” company as it is American owned, grown and made.

With food safety, quality, sustainability and security paramount in consumers’ minds, Red Gold consumers can rest assured that at all company operations are nestled in the heartland of America. At Red Gold, they are truly satisfied with not being the biggest, as long as they remain the very best.

About Made in America Store

We are happy to note that increasing demand for American Made Products, as well as the need to offer a hospitality experience customized for bus groups, has led to the store’s biggest achievement to date.  On May 21, 2016 – Armed Forces Day – Mark Andol cut the ribbon on a brand new flagship location right next door to the original site.  The new store moved into a building featuring triple the square footage of the original location, with a one-level floor plan, group friendly amenities like ample restrooms and a hospitality area with café tables and chairs.  The Made in America Store continues to honor our active duty members of the U.S. military, as well as our veterans, by offering a 10% discount on every purchase, every day.  And, with every purchase our customers make, our country comes that much closer to a place where those who work with their hands are given the respect they deserve.  Visit www.MadeinAmericaStore.com to learn more and shop 100% American-made products.
